Please support for Heart Surgeries of Infants/ Young Children.‏

Fellow Rotarians,
As you all are aware that during the District Conference at Karachi we signed an agreement with Jang Group to be a partner in Aman Ki Asha program.

Under the same banner the leaderships of Rotary and Jang Group decided to undertake 200 cardiac surgeries in India for children from Pakistan.

We have started processing some cases in India and have also in the mean time received an opportunity to get some surgeries done at the recently developed and successfully managed facilities for children with cardiac problems at Aga Khan Hospital Karachi, Pakistan.
There are two infants who need to get immediately operated and one of the infant who is a 3 months old boy from Hyderabad has been admitted at Aga Khan Hospital today and will be operated on Monday while the second child from Sukkur will be subsequently operated.

Doctors and Surgeons are very confident that these children would be successfully operated.

The total cost of both these surgeries are estimated at Rs 1.2 Million. Courtesy PDG Aziz Memon we expect to get a reasonable discount from Aga Khan Hospital and are arranging a budget of Rs 5,00,000/= for these two surgeries.
I will appeal all rotarians to kindly donate generously for this cause.

This is indeed an ideal opportunity to highlight to the world that Pakistan has also gained the expertise of cardiac surgery for infants and children.
This may also pave way for us to manage more such surgeries in Pakistan.

Please send your contributions either to the Governor Shahab Balkhi or to me and we will keep you informed about the progress.

I in anticipation thank you for your generous support and will also in the process request you all to pray for success of these surgeries as well as speedy recovery of these two children.

God bless you!

PDG Faiz Kidwai.
