Matching Grants and Shelter Boxes

Shelterboxes can be purchased as part of a TRF Matching Grant project. It would have to be for a specific natural disaster, not just to fund the purchase of 10 or 20 Shelterboxes to put into inventory for use at some time in the future.

But in cases where folks may be having to live in temporary shelters for some extended time, a matching grant could be applied for, approved and funded to purchase “X” number of shelterboxes to help those affected in a specific area, such as Chile, Haiti, or in this case, Japan.

Still would need international and host project partners, but this is a method where club or district funds could be matched by the World Fund in a matching grant mechanism.
